The Külliye of Bayezid II Health Museum is a health museum in Edirne, Turkey. It is a Külliye (meaning, a complex of buildings adjacent to a mosque) of Bayezid II in Edirne. The darüşşifa (hospital) in the Külliye had been in operation since 1488 and was in service until the Ottoman-Russian war 1886-1887) - that is, for 400 years. Mental illness was treated by the help of music, water sound and scent.
This historical place has been used as a "Health Museum" by Trakya University. It's the only health museum of Turkey. Visitors can find a lot of departments that give vast information about development of medical science and medical services in the museum. This is the second most visited historical place in Edirne after the Selimiye Mosque. The museum was honoured by European Council's Europe Museum Award in 2004.
