The Justice Friends

The Justice Friends are a group of superheroes who exist in the universe of Dexter's Laboratory and occasionally appeared in back-up segments of that show. They have also appeared on at least one episode of The Powerpuff Girls, thereby tying the "universes" of those two shows together. This cartoon uses a laugh track, which is highly unusual for animated shows. It is said to be a combination of the sitcom Friends with similar plot lines to Super Friends. Though the episodes are very short, these segments weren't popular with fans.

  • Major Glory, a semieffective caped stars-and-stripes hero given to overdramatic patriotic dialogue, is an obvious combined parody of Captain America and Superman. His love for publicity and of the paparazzi can often present more harm than good. His secret identity is concealed by several masks instead of just one, and he's allergic to cats, even cat-like superheroes.
  • Valhallen (Valhalla + Van Halen + Thor), an axe(guitar)-wielding Viking god of rock with Southern Californian mannerisms, is a melding of the Mighty Thor and rock and roll guitarist Eddie Van Halen. Valhallen's axe is his source of divine power, as seen in the episode "Valhallen's room" where he was reduced to a mortal having lost it. Upon finding it the power of the axe restored him to his true form. It seems although that the axe itself does not supply an infinite amount of divine energy as he had to retrieve his power (with the aid of White Tiger) when Mental Mouse claimed it in the episode "Can't Nap". Valhallen can also fly on his guitar, much like Mjolnir grants Thor the ability of flight in the Marvel universe. He has been seen using various means of transportation throughout the series, such as a cross between a viking longship and a jeep, or a carriot pulled by a goat, similar to the chariot used by Thor in the Norse mithology which is pulled by two goats.
  • The Infraggable Krunk (Krunk for short), an overgrown muscle-man with arrested mental development, caricatures the Incredible Hulk. He wears green shorts and has purple skin -- a parody on Hulk's purple shorts and green skin.

Major Glory, Krunk, and Valhallen are all room mates who live in an apartment complex. Most of the adventures of the Justice Friends deal with the three trying to balance out their superhero adventures while just trying to keep their composure living in the house. Most of these adventures play out like a situation comedy with a laugh track playing in the background.

The Justice Friends are part of a larger superhero organization, whose members seem to be a parodic nod to the later seasons of Super Friends where multicultural heroes were created for the sake of political correctness, as all of the original Justice League members starring in Super Friends were white. The individual members are mostly parodies of the Avengers.
