[edit] Summary
Timmy Turner's friends, Chester and AJ, are too busy to spend time with him, so he decides to go back to Retroville, Texas, with Cosmo and Wanda and hang out with Cindy Vortex. But Jimmy Neutron, who was making updates to his Wormhole Generator and was secretly seeing how Timmy was doing at the time, hears about his plans and tries to get to Cindy's house before Timmy does. As soon as Timmy arrives in Retroville, Jimmy takes to the skies with his jetpack and Timmy quickly pursues him after wishing for a jetpack. When the duel ends in a draw and they both find out that Cindy is on vacation with her family at a spa retreat, they decide, almost instantly, to hang out together. While trying to think of things they can do together, they find out that Eustace Strytch (who, like Professor Finbarr Calamitous, was able to escape from the Cretaceous Period) is terrorizing the town in his tripod ship in order to find and destroy Jimmy. After easily defeating Eustace using Jimmy's Robo-Walker and Cosmo and Wanda's magic, they go to Dimmsdale, California, where they battle and easily defeat the Nega-Chin in Timmy's Crimson Chin comic book. Soon after, they decide to invent a powerful and challenging villain and return to Retroville using Jimmy's Porta-Portal. But unbeknownst to them, Chester and A.J., who believe that Timmy has replaced them, end up following Jimmy and Timmy into the portal before it disappears. Carl and Sheen, who feel replaced by Jimmy and have been hanging out with and annoying Libby, soon meet up with Chester and A.J. and try to devise a plan to break up Jimmy and Timmy's friendship as soon as they find out that Cindy has returned early from her vacation, due to her mother's allergic reaction to a seaweed wrap.
After everyone tells Cindy what's been happening ever since Jimmy and Timmy became friends, Cindy guarantees that she'll have them clawing each other's eyes out for her attention in no time. Meanwhile in Jimmy's lab, Jimmy and Timmy have been designing their new adversary: giving him weapons, emotions and even a destructo-chip in order to make him more challenging to fight. After Cosmo predicts that they'll dispose of him quickly like they've been doing to their other friends, Wanda suggests that they make him adoptable so he can have a nice home when they're done playing with him; as a result, Timmy accidentally types in "adaptable" instead of "adoptable" and nobody notices the typo. Cindy arrives in Jimmy's lab and then tries to persuade both boys to take her to the Candy Bar, but she ends up getting sucked out of the lab. So as to avoid any other interruptions, Jimmy and Timmy decide the best thing to do is to go back to Dimmsdale and finish creating their villain there. Once they arrive in Timmy's tree house, they use Cosmo and Wanda's magic to bring their creation to life, but soon find out that their villain is not as evil as they thought he would be: his idea of villainy is playing "Got Your Nose" with Timmy and making Jimmy's shoes moderately filthy. While they try to make him evil and do villainous things, their friends, still in Retroville, notice that they ditched them, yet again, and follow them into Dimmsdale using Jimmy's Wormhole Generator.
Jimmy and Timmy soon decide that it's hopeless to try and make their villain evil and they tell him to meet them at the Wall 2 Wall Mart. While the villain is waiting, Jimmy and Timmy's friends meet up with him and tell him that Jimmy and Timmy won't show up and, after an hour of waiting, the villain adapts his sadness into rage. In the tree house, Jimmy and Timmy start making plans for a Villain 2.0, but their plans are halted when the villain finds them and swears vengeance against them.
One of the things that makes the villain even angrier at Jimmy and Timmy is that they never gave him a name so Jimmy gives him the name Shirley, but Timmy's laughter at the name makes him adapt even more rage and, unfortunately, more weapons. After a lengthy battle which results in the destruction of half of Dimmsdale, Jimmy and Timmy activate the destructo-chip, but the villain quickly removes the chip from his systems and detonates it himself. Afterwards, he takes away Jimmy's genius and eats Cosmo and Wanda's wands; now that he has unlimited magic and Jimmy's intelligence at his disposal, he is unstoppable. Now with a real problem on their hands, Jimmy and Timmy try to make peace with the villain at a spa, but they end up ditching him again—but not before leaving the villain a note saying that if he wants to continue the chase, they'll be in Retroville. Jimmy and Timmy, who are still in Dimmsdale, soon find their friends and beg for their help in trying to stop the villain since Cosmo and Wanda are now humans and Jimmy is a braindead idiot. But their pleas fall on deaf ears and they ditch Jimmy and Timmy, saying that it's not their problem.
Meanwhile in Retroville, the villain is trying to locate Jimmy and Timmy by asking the people where they are, but they are just as rude and disrespectful to him as Jimmy and Timmy were. As a result, he creates his own universe called "Retrodimmsdalevile" (as a combination to the 2-D and 3-D universes, everything is flat) and starts abducting the buildings and the people of both Retroville and Dimmsdale. But with each new thing he takes, a portal forms: whatever or whoever gets sucked into the portal is transported to Retrodimmsdaleville. Still oblivious to the fact that both dimesions are falling apart, Jimmy and Timmy's friends refuse to accept their 512 apologies. When the villain finally spots the kids, Wanda tells everyone to run, but Jimmy and Timmy refuse to, saying that he can do what he wants to them, but to leave their friends alone. After stating that their friends were the only ones who were nice to him, he kidnaps Jimmy and Timmy, tells their friends that they only have 2 days to live before both dimensions are destroyed and leaves them a portal to his universe.
While the villain is terrorizing the citizens of both Retroville and Dimmsdale, Jimmy and Timmy are able to escape from their captor and raid Jimmy's lab for weapons to use. While exploring Retrodimmsdaleville, the kids soon spot Jimmy and Timmy heading for them and they hide, believing that Jimmy and Timmy will say more insulting and hurtful things to them, but what they hear is Jimmy and Timmy saying that they'll fix everything, no matter what happens to them. Feeling bad that they would sacrifice themselves so their friends, families and hometowns wouldn't have to suffer for what they caused, they finally accept their apology and decide to help them come up with a plan to defeat the villain. They finally conclude that if they can get him to "adapt away" being big and having super-powers and weapons, then he would be powerless.
The villain adapts away being big after Sheen and A.J. beat him in a basketball game and then "adapts away" having weapons after going through some metal detectors in a restaurant with Cindy. When the villain finds out that everyone has lied to him, he conducts a tornado and abducts everyone but Chester, who is hiding in a tree with a butterfly net. While the villain is occupied, Chester is able to trap him under the net and the tornado vanishes. Since the net is preventing him from using magic, he is forced to "adapt away" the magic by coughing up Cosmo and Wanda's wands. With their wands back in their possessions, Cosmo and Wanda become fairies again and Timmy is able to wish that the villain had no strength. Jimmy and Timmy later tell everyone that it was really their fault that the villain became evil and apologize to him. As a result of their apology, the villain fixes both dimensions and restores peace. As a gesture of thanks, Jimmy and Timmy give him a pizzeria of his own in Dimmsdale. Finally, Cindy then tells Jimmy to say that she is smarter than him a couple of times before Timmy wishes Jimmy's brains back (but it's unseen).

[edit] Trivia
- Goddard has no appearances through the entire episode.
- Sheen continually breaks the fourth wall by saying to Carl "Do you know what this means? Do you?" and then to the audience "Do YOU?!" Then, the angle turns and reveals that Sheen was talking to Libby.
- This is the second time Cosmo and Wanda became humans. The first was in Transparents. However in Transparents they still had their wands. In this episode they never had them.
- When Timmy talked about a restaurant called PJ O'Pootertootles, it was a reference to a Ben Stiller Show sketch called The Legend of TJ O'Pootertoot.
- The villain whose name isn't Shirley is likely a reference to the movie Airplane! When Leslie Nielsen is told, "Surely (Shirley) you can't be serious." Which is answered, "I am serious, and don't call me Shirley."
- Carl and Sheen getting close to Libby is a parody of a Gorillaz picture on MySpace.
- This is AJ and Chester's first time in 3-D and we see what Retroville looks like in 2-D but in 2.5-D.
- Cosmo reads "What could possibly go wrong?" in this episode. This was Timmy's catchphrase throughout The Fairly OddParents series, but spoken more often in later episodes.
- The "Tripod Ship" that Eustace uses is a parody of the war machines from War of the Worlds. The Tripod Ship looks specifically like the Tripods from Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds. The Tripod ship first appeared in King of Mars
- When Cindy appears in Jimmy's lab, Timmy says, "Hi Debi". Jimmy's voice actress's first name is Debi.
- When Jimmy and Timmy drive the monster truck in the 2.5D world, the horn's sound is the same sound that is heard in The Dukes of Hazzard.
- When Jimmy and Timmy are in the monster truck, Jimmy shouted, "I'm a Truck-o-saurus Rex!" Truck-o-saurus is from The Simpsons
- When Sheen said he wanted to go see the monster trucks rally, Chester replies by telling him that it's in three days, and the universe will be gone then. But Sheen couldn't have gone to see the monster trucks anyway, since the rally was going to be held at the Dimmadome, and "Shirley" took the Dimmadome back to his universe.
- A sign in the episode apppears in the episode when Shirley creates his 2.5 dimension shows Dimmsdale's population to be about 175,000.
- Sometime in the episode, "Shirley" says, "When I'm through with you, Timmy will just be an average kid who no one understands." Cosmo then replies, "They should make a song about that." That happens to be part of the title song for Fairly OddParents.
- When Timmy and Jimmy are driving the golf car to get "Shirley" angry the initials DP are seen. (This may by a reference to Danny Phantom, another show created by Butch Hartman).
- This marks the end of "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius". "The Fairly Odd Parents" was also to end with this special, but was later renewed in early 2007. Nickelodeon did not advertise this as the last episode of either series.
- When Shirley throws to London, the Union Jack had a missing strip off the flag.
- This is the only Jimmy Timmy Power Hour episode where none of the scenes takes place in Fairy World.
