The Jacka (born 1977) is the pseudonym of Dominick Newton. He is a rapper from Richmond, California who started his career as one of C-Bo's Mob Figaz (along with Rydah J. Klyde, Husalah, Fed-X, and AP-9). The group's first album, C-bo's Mob Figaz, was released in 1999, which sold over 160,000 units independently.[citation needed] Since then The Jacka has released three solo albums: The Jacka in 2001, The Jack Artist in 2005, and his latest, Jack Of All Trades in 2006. He currently runs his own label, The Artist Records. He also came out with a plethora of side projects, including a mixtape with fellow Mob Figaz member Husalah entitled Animal Planet (2006), a joint collaboration with Husalah and Marvaless called 3 Da Hard Way (2005), an album presented by San Francisco rapper Andre Nickatina entitled Mob Trial (2006) with Husalah and another Mob Figa AP.9, an album with Husalah, Shower Posse (2006), and Explove Mode 3: The Mob Gets Explosive, a group album with Husalah and fellow Bay Area rappers Messy Marv and San Quinn.
