From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

'The Inspiration Networks' is a major international ministry and inspirational media company that was founded in 1990. Domestically, the organization serves viewers through its cable television networks: INSP – The Inspiration Network, Inspirational Life Television (i-Lifetv), and the Spanish-language network La Familia Cosmovision (LFC). The Inspiration Networks also owns and operates the international network Inspiration Network International (INI), which is seen throughout Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

The family of networks offered by The Inspiration Networks is seen in more than 30 million homes in the U.S. and more than 55 million homes in the pan-European region.

The organization also own and operates MediaComm, one of the most advanced tele-production facilities in the Southeast U.S. The for-profit subsidiary serves a wide variety of clients with services that include video graphics, editing, studio production, satellite uplinking, and fiber transmission.

The Inspiration Networks took its programming beyond the linear television arena in August 2006 with the launch of the broadband channel “Inspiration.net.” The organization worked with Internet TV innovator Brightcove to launch the site and “Inspiration Now” video player. Inspiration.net features programs for teens, kids, and adults from INSP and i-Lifetv, as well as individual network environments that allow viewers to watch full-length programs, archived series, program highlights, and special videos from pastors, ministries, and parachurch organizations from across the country and around the world.

The Inspiration Networks recently announced a ten-year plan to build the “City of Light” in Lancaster County, South Carolina. The campus will include a new headquarters encompassing a state-of-the art media production and broadcast facility; a world mission center and corporate headquarters.
