[edit] Band biography
The Hurt Process released Another Day in 2002 on Loudspeaker, and later released The Last Goodbye on Inherited Industries
Their first full-length album was 2004's Drive By Monologue, released on the indepedent Golf label (and on Victory Records in the USA). Following this release, The Hurt Process toured with such bands such as Taking Back Sunday, Poison the Well and Norma Jean, as well as completing a stint on 2004's Vans Warped Tour. However, their lineup has changed significantly since then, with 4 out of 6 members leaving. The lineup of the band which toured with Taking Back Sunday immediately prior to 2004's Warped Tour was Daniel Lawrence and Mark Andrews (Vocals), Alun Burnet-Smith and Tom Diamond (guitars), Duncan McGilvary (bass) and Darren Toms (drums).
This was followed by a sold out co-headline tour with Underoath, a slot on the Download festival's Snicker stage, and a full run in the US on the Victory Records New Faces from Different Places tour. This was immediately echoed with a successful co-headline tour in the UK and Europe with labelmates Aiden.
An array of member changes began with Mark Andrews' departure midway through the 2004 Warped Tour, closely followed by Alun Burnet-Smith (who was immediately replaced with Adam Yeoman, now the band's drummer). The new line-up includes front man Ivan Ferreira - who replaces the dual-vocal attack of Andrews and Lawrence.
[edit] Split
In September 2006, the band announced on their MySpace that they were arranging some 'farewell shows', and that 'This will be your last chance to see the hurt process again'.
