The Hurricanes are an Edinburgh based band, formed in 2005 when all members met at Loretto school. They have been playing together ever since, with their music drawing on influences past and present. The band has recently played venues such as: The Exchange (Arctic Monkeys, Carl Palmer and Albert Lee previous acts there) and Cabaret Voltaire (The Fratellis, 1990s and Larrikin Love)
Described by Cabaret Voltaire as having "A sound that's simultaneously right-up-to-date and as old school as they come. The only thing more exciting than their tunes is their electric live performance".
They have had plays on XFM Scotland & BBC Radio Scotland and articles have appeared in The List and Edinburgh Evening News.
