The Hound is a short horror film directed by Anthony Penta, faithfully adapted from H.P. Lovecraft's story of the same name. The film premiered at the 1998 H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, Oregon.

Two ghoulish intellectuals steal an amulet from an ancient grave and revive the curse of The Hound.

- The movie was photographed in and around Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, Michigan.
- The movie is in black and white.
- Minor changes to Lovecraft's original story re-set the film in Michigan.
- Pages of the Necronomicon shown in the film were drawings by French artist Philippe Druillet. The cover is the revised third edition of the Simon Necronomicon.
