The Hoof Beat is Northside College Preparatory High School's monthly school newspaper.

The newspaper is divided into two sections, the web edition and the print edtition. Each are led by two editor in chiefs for a total of four editor and chiefs. These positions are extremely prestigious and many of the newspaper's members have been accepted to Harvard, Yale, Northwestern and the University of Chicago.
