The Hollow (band)

The Hollow is a progressive metal band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The band is currently composed of Matthew von Wagner (aka.Landru Von Merrick) (vocals/drums/guitar), Karen Wagner (aka. Ava Von Merrick) (bass guitar/vocals), Todd Lefever (aka Colvin) (lead guitar/vocals), Rowan MacPhail (guitar/vocals), and Harmony (piano/keys/vocals).
They have three albums independently produced and released by Swarm Theory Music: Natio in 2002, and Vita and ab Gehenna in 2004. ab Gehenna was a digital-only release. Another album, Obitus, was due out in 2006. The album was released on itunes only, as the band went through changes.
Original live drummer Colin Snortland (aka Nilock Lang) left, and singer Matthew moved to drums. Guitar duties were filled out by Rowan, and in 2006 Harmony was added on keys.
The band signed to EMI in December, 2006 and began recording new 2 new songs to be added to the album originally called "Obitus". In February 2007 the yet untitled 5th album was remixed at Bay 7 Studios by Joe Barresi (tool, tomahawk, bad religion).
This also marks the end of the hollow, and they have changed their name to Alpha Galates.
