The Hindu Senior Secondary School,Triplicane was started in the year 1971 with 171 students.It is an unit of The Hindu Educational Organisation and it is affliated to the central board of secondary education(CBSE).The school enjoys the status of junior college.

The school is one of the oldest CBSE schools in Chennai.The school now has nearly 2500 students in its primary and secondary departments.
