[edit] Plot

The game follows the story of Zeke Holloway on a dreary October afternoon, just after the Civil war. He came to the old Louisiana for a job as 'assistant caretaker' for the mansion. Once there, he is greeted by 6 friendly ghosts, only to faint. He is soon woken up by Madame Leota in her secret seance room. Zeke is told about the evil Aticus Thorn, an immortal man who lives by taking others' souls and he is the ruler of the house. Then Zeke is given the Beacon of light, a magical lantern that can fire energy by using soul gems. Zeke must collect all 6 soul gems and save the mansion before Aticus can use them to destroy the world.
