The Guildhall at SMU
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Guildhall at SMU is a video game university located at the SMU Plano campus. Students learn how to create a game, from the basics (e.g. 2D games) to a total conversion. Graduates present their work at a six-monthly exhibition. Graduation is accompanied by key notes of established game developers such as Gabe Newell or Richard Garriott. According to the Guildhall, graduates have a high chance to get a job in the gaming industry. Some of the student cohorts (teams working on a project) made their work public, e.g. the Half-Life 2 mod Eclipse.
