The Grudge is the latest album released by Mortiis. It was recorded at Silvertone Studios in Fredrikstad, Norway in 2003-2004 and released in 2004. The artwork was done by Jean Sebastian Rossbach of the Living Rope Design.

Released on several different formats.

The vinyl version: Limited to 1,000 copies, the vinyl version of "The Grudge" was pressed in 10 different colors on 140 gram vinyl. They were (colour amount): Clear 95/ White 75/ White/Grey 25/ White/Green 25/ Green 122/ Green/black 68/ black 21/ black/Grey 13/ Grey 55/ Blue 107/ Blue/White 9/ Purple 111/ Brown 116/ Brown/Black 3/ Black 96/ Red 98

Very Limited 'Plastic Edition': Alternative cover by renowned French artist Jean Sebastian Rossbach. It came with a 12 page plastic booklet, each page revealing a different image.

Germany Only Version: Included 2 exclusive bonus remixes.

Regular CD Version: Included a 16 page booklet containing lyrics
