The Granstream Saga is an action RPG for the PlayStation. It debuted at number one on the Japanese charts, but then fell into obscurity.
The Granstream Saga was made by a team consisting of staff from Quintet under the name Shade; in fact, Granstream Saga shares many elements from Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma (the games themselves being part of a loose trilogy). Prior to release, it was highly anticipated, but sales ultimately disappointed. It was somewhat unique in that the characters you met in the game were faceless. THQ was the US publisher, and their job with the english version voice acting in the game was poorly-reviewed. [1]
