Believing themselves to be safe, the group attempts to come to grips with what is happening. Unfortunately for them, they soon find out that the theatre is inhabited by the ghosts of employees murdered 40 years ago by the theatre's insane manager...and they aren't happy to find visitors in their theatre.

[edit] Production History

The Grand Horror was written in one month after MaT Kister and Braden Johnson were given a tour of the Grand Theatre. Since they had access to the theatre, the decision was made to shoot a movie. The script was written, a budget was given by Deejay Scharton, who ended up purchasing multiple cameras for the shoot, and a cast was cobbled together. It was filmed over 9 weekends in the summer of 2005, July-September. The editing took over 1 year and it was premiered on October 28th, 2006 at the theatre in which it was shot.

[edit] Trivia

  • Though a script was written, almost every piece of dialogue in the film is ad lib.
  • Every cast and crew member on set, with the exception of Steve Eaton, were injured in some way shape or form during the filming.
  • A sex scene involving T.J. Roe and Rhyann Crooks was cut from the film for pacing issues.
  • Rhyann Crooks and Jeremy Cech became engaged during the shoot.
