The Good Friday Shield is an annual football match, held in Ballyroan, County Dublin between past pupils of local secondary school Coláiste Éanna. The two teams which compete in this showpiece event are UCD/Blue Tsunami and The Warriors. The Match is played on Good Friday on the pitch in Sancta Maria College. The 2007 clash will take place in Coláiste Éanna, of which most players are past pupils, as the Sancta Maria College pitch is unplayable due to the recent construction of the all-weather pitch. The UCD/Blue Tsunami team remains a dominant force in the competition and are undefeated in the shields' two year history. The 2006 clash however was a tight affair, with The Warriors losing out by a single goal.
