The Goering Center for Family & Private Business at the University of Cincinnati is an educational and informational resource center for companies that define themselves as a family business or closely held business. The Goering Center provides to businesses programs focusing on issues such as succession planning; estate and wealth transfer planning; communications; strategic management; governance; family councils ; conflict resolutions; leadership development; business valuation; philanthropic strategies; and financing and ownership strategies.
As part of its academic offerings at the University of Cincinnati, the Goering Center also offers university students a concentration in the area of family business/entrepreneurship.
