The Goddamned Dutch
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Goddamned Dutch (aka "The Souse Family" or "Drunk Last Night") is a traditional drinking song found among Hash House Harriers, Rugby players and fraternities.
[edit] Traditional Lyrics
-
- Drunk last night. Drunk the night before,
- Gonna get drunk tonight like I never been drunk before,
- For when I'm drunk I'm as happy as can be;
- For I am a member of the Souse family,
- Now the Souse family is the best family
- That ever came over from Old Germany.
- With the Highland Dutch, and the Lowland Dutch;
- And the Rotterdam Dutch, and the Irish.
- Now when God made the Irish, he didn't make much;
- But he surely made 'em better than the Rotterdam Dutch
- Sing Glorious!
- Sing Glorious!
- Sing one keg of beer for the four of us!
- Sing and glory be to God that there are no more of us;
- For four of us can drink it all alone!

ONe keg of beer between the four of us,
thank christ there are no more of us,
cos one of us could drink the lot without his pants on,
cos one of us could drink the bloody lot, roll over mabel,
your Navel's on the other side,
Sung by the wet check quartet,
haven't had a raja just yet
...
Sung on the Williams College campus at rugby and other social events:
What's that smell on the evening breeze?
It's the goddamned dutch eating Limburger cheese!
Singing Glorious! Glorious!
One keg of beer for the four of us!
Glory be to go there ain't more of us!
Because one of us could drink it all - DAMN NEAR!
