[edit] Dance of the Goblins
The first installation in the Goblin Trilogy takes place in a world ravaged by geomagnetic reversal causing the seas to rise and the land to fall, seen in the story as the Earth's means of purging the itself of the destuctive forces of human exploitation of the land.
Five generations since the Turning Count Anton, leader of the upper human world, befriends Haghuf, a respected elder amongst the goblin community, through the harmony of the Dance.
After a human wanders into one of the many goblin carverns, a certain series of events are set in motion which will require the fulfillment of a prophecy which may spell the extinction of one or both races unless harmony and friendship among the two are found at the right time.
[edit] Demoniac Dance
The second book of the Goblin Trilogy takes us among the magicians where we learn the secrets that the goblins have kept even from them for centuries, but not before the fabric of their very existence is threatened by the old prejudices of a past age.
Ironically, it is the desperate flight of a young girl that brings the conflict of the ages into a realm where it cannot be ignored. Human and goblin alike must face the consequenses of choices made before some of them were even born, and to find a way to share a world that their misunderstandings threaten to destroy.
[edit] Power of the Dance
In the final installment of the Goblin Trilogy, the beliefs and prejudices of many ages of the world are brought into inescapable conflict by a single creature that many would say should never have existed, were it not for the his incredible beauty.
Using all of the arts bequeathed to him by his combined human and goblin ancestry, the creature whom they call both Seraph and Diabolis seeks balance in the worlds he exists between as the creatures of his own blood seek to kill him, despite the inestimable love that they cannot help but feel in his presence.
Only by uniting the divided world can the peoples hope to control the power unleashed by the creature's efforts to save the world that has its very existence threatened by his efforts to save them all.
[edit] Story
The first installation takes in a time five generation or so after a geomagnetic reversal (known in the stories a Turning) which has caused certain cataclysmic events such as the lowering of the surface lands and the rise of the ocean bed. We are lead to believe that this has many times before in the Earth's history most notably the Ice Age which is called the Second Turning
At the time of the Second Turning, many humans where found to be underneath the land itself trapped in caverns. After being able to devise simple survival, they created a way of life that was seen as free and released of inhibitions. After many thousands of years underground, they became the Goblins.
[edit] Races
The main characters within the Goblin Trilogy are either Goblin or Human. In the first installation of the stories we are introduced to Count Anton, the leader of the humans, and the goblin elder, Haghuf who have formed a delicate friendship.
