The Ginocchio

The Ginocchio or Ginocchio Hotel was originally constructed in 1896 next to the Texas and Pacific Railway station in Marshall, Texas to provide disembarking passengers with ready access to a hotel and restaurant facility. During its height the building housed several U.S. Presidents and actor, John Barrymore among others. The name is derived from the family that built the building, and is shared with the larger Ginocchio National Historic District. The building is the temporary home of the Harrison County Historical Museum as its permanent location the Old Courthouse under goes renovation.
