Founded by Elliott Galloway in 1969, the Galloway School is located in the Buckhead (Atlanta) district of Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. Galloway calls itself a "community of learners" who are dedicated to life long learning. The overall principle of the Galloway School is "behave yourself and try." The Galloway School is a private, co-educational day school dedicated to offering a well rounded academic program for children ages 3 through grade 12. Since its founding in 1969, The Galloway School has been a community where students have the freedom to think, to grow, to question and to find their own truth. The school's philosophy is based on the assumption that children learn best when they are drawn rather than pushed to learning, when they are comfortable, when they are respected and when they are challenged.
