The Frontline

The Frontline is a rap group from Richmond, California. The group consists of Left and Locksmith. Locksmith has appeared on MTV rap battles. The group is associated with West Coast hip hop music. Despite being popular around the time of the Bay Area hyphy movement, they have not yet associated themselves as part of that culture, though they work with hyphy artists.

Group member Locksmith first got national exposure appearing on MTV's freestyle battle. He reached the final round but due to a rule of no cursing, was disqualified and ended up in second place.
