The Four Horsemen (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Four Horsemen were a band that had brief popularity in the late 1980's and early 1990's. They were based out of Hollywood California and featured Frankie Starr on vocals. Their only CD of note was their first title called "Nobody Said It Was Easy" and was produced by legendary producer Rick Rubin. The band was tied up in legal disputes with Rubin which put their second CD on hold for nearly two years. Although their sound never changed from their first CD to their second the rest of the music scene did.

Their fame was fleeting but full of tragedy. Their original drummer Dimwit passed away from a drug overdose on September 27, 1994. Frank C. Starr was killed by a drunk driver while driving his motorcycle down Sunset Strip. The band soldiered with Ron Young of Little Ceasar on vocals on hoping that Starr would come out of the coma, but he eventually died and the band broke up.
