The Foundation For Young Australians

The Foundation For Young Australians (or FYA) is an Australian non-profit organisation committed to empowering and supporting the lives of young Australians aged from 12 to 25. It was formed in 2000, when The Australian Youth Foundation and The Queen’s Trust for Young Australians merged.

The FYA's vision is for communities celebrating and strengthening young people.

There are many funding opportunities from the FYA, opening at different times of the year. These include:

Youth-Led Futures These grants are for Indigenous organisations and youth to create projects that will address issues that are important to Indigenous youth and their communities.

Fund for Individuals The Fund for Individuals encourages young people to improve their skill base so that they can then contribute more to their community.

Robert Riley Scholarships Supporting the education of Indigenous youth in the fields of human rights and law.
