The Five Deaths (Las Cinco Muertes in Spanish) are a group of five fictional islands from the Jurassic Park series of films and books. The islands lie approximately 200 miles South-West of the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.

The islands are each several miles apart and part of an old volcanic chain.

They are named Isla Mataceros, Isla Muerta, Isla Pena, Isla Sorna and Isla TacaƱo.

They were named after an old Indian legend about a brave warrior captured by a king who offered him five choices of deaths: burning, drowning, crushing, hanging, or decapitation. The warrior said he would take them all, and he went from island to island, experiencing the various challenges.

Isla Nublar is a separate island 87 miles northwest.

There are some differences between the novel and the movie; according to the book, Isla Sorna is to the north of the other islands, but in the movie, it is located in the center of the island chain.
