The Five Ancients (Trollz)

The Five Ancients are a fictitious group of trollz from the American animated series Trollz. They compose of five old trollz who, in their youth, helped banished the evil gremlin Simon away into another dimension. They are currently training five new trollz, the Best Friends For Life, in their magical studies to harness the Power of the Five and help fight Simon in current day Trollzopolis.

Three thousand years ago, the evil gremlin Simon attempted to take over the world by draining the worlds magic and using it for his own evil purposes. A group of ten trollz, five young and five old, appeared to oppose Simon and eventually sealed him away into another dimension. The Five Ancients, at the time, were the apprentices of five old and powerful trollz. As time passed, the old trollz passed away and the young trollz soon became old themselves. The cycle continued and now The Five Ancients have taken five young trollz in as their own apprentices.

Obsidian is the owner of a spell shop in the Trollzopolis Mall. The Best Friends For Life first met her when they were seeking help in undoing a spell that accidentally turned Coal into an ice statue. Obsidian was the one who first told the girls about the Power of the Five and led them into the Ancient World to witness the power for themselves. She is a mysterious old woman full of information, but is often cryptic and only gives them just the amount of information they need at the time, never more. Obsidian is often the first troll the girls visit when they run into a problem with their magic and are seeking answers.
Her apprentice is the boisterous Ruby Trollman.

Amethyst's grandmother is a kind old troll with a passion for knitting and baking sweets for her family. Her granddaughter, Amethyst, is the spitting image of her when she was younger, both in appearance and in personality. She is extremely generous and is often providing her granddaughter and her friends with clothing, trinkets, and just about anything else they could use. She is extremely understanding of Amethyst's mistakes and expects no more from her than her best.
Her apprentice is her own granddaughter, Amethyst Van Der Troll.

Mr. Trollheimer is the ninth grade science teacher at Trollzopolis High School. He is intelligent, bookish, and laid back. He is often providing valuable lessons for the girls, both during class and after, on how they can better themselves; not just in magic, but in their lives as well. While he is often calm and collective and wants the girls to figure out his lessons on their own, he doesn't hesitate to lend a helping hand when the girls need one.
His apprentice is one of his most intelligent students, Sapphire Trollzawa.
[edit] Zirconia
3000 years ago, Simon inpriosioned Zirconia inside a tree. She was in there for so long she became part of the tree, and lost all sense of reality and commom sense. Since the BFFL rescued her, she is getting better by the day, but is still very clumsy. Zicroni looks gross and grimy, but if Topaz (her corresponding Troll) learns to be accepting of her corresponding Ancient, it may be shopping spree time. Maybe there's a fashion queen underneath that dirty sack cloth! Who knows?
Her apprentice is the also clumsy and silly Topaz Trollhopper.

While Zirconia was imprisoned inside a tree, her husband Spinell was locked in another kind of prison. He was transformed as a ferocious Dragon, which might be okay except for the painful fire-breathing sneezes! Some guys would love the chance to breathe fire, but Spinell's not one of them. Spinell would much rather be reading the paper, drinking black coffee (no sugar) and making cynical remarks to his wife Zirconia - this makes him the perfect match for his corresponding Troll, Onyx.
His apprentice is Onyx Von Trollenberg
