The Fifth Season (title as reported by undercover.com.au) is the forthcoming debut album from Australian R&B singer Daniel Merriweather. The album is expected to be released sometime in 2007; it will be released through Marlin Records in Australia and Allido Records in the US.

[edit] Tracklisting

A tracklisting for the album has not been confirmed; however it will probably contain Daniel's previous singles "City Rules" and "She's Got Me"; and (considering the attention the song has been getting) will also likely contain Mark Ronson collaboration "Stop Me" (from Ronson's forthcoming album version).

Other tracks which may be included on the album:

  • Pot Of Gold (previewed on 2004's "Merriweather" Promotional EP; also memorably performed live on Triple J's Hip Hop show)
  • Crimson Stone (previewed on 2004's "Merriweather" Promotional EP)
  • Higher (previewed on Daniel's MySpace page)
  • For Winter (previewed on Daniel's MySpace page)
  • I Can't Wait Til The Morning (previewed on Mark Ronson's "Authentic S**t" radio program)
  • What Will You Do (previewed on Mark Ronson's "Authentic S**t" radio program)
  • Let's Ride (w/ Mark Ronson) (previewed on Mark Ronson's "Authentic S**t" radio program)
  • Maybe (previously released on the "Hating Alison Ashley Soundtrack)

[edit] Producers

As a final tracklisting is not confirmed, it is unknown which of the producers will appear on the final album; however, producers appearing on the final album will almost certainly include Mark Ronson, Justin Stanley and Crooked Eye (Daniel, Jan Skubiszewski and Phrase). Other producers Daniel has worked with include Jarrad Rogers and Erick Sermon. (Daniel was also rumoured to have recorded with Kanye West while West was in Australia, however, this in unconfirmed).
