The Female American

The Female American is a novel, originally published in 1767, that describes the adventures of a half-Indian, half-English woman, who is stranded on a desert island. She uses her knowledge of Christianity to convert Indians. The work was published anonymously under the pseudonym of the main character, Unca Eliza Winkfield. She is the main character, narrator, and pseudonym for the anonymous author of the book.
