  • Executive producer Julie Gardner has confirmed that this story has links to Paul Cornell's 1995 Doctor Who novel Human Nature, published by Virgin Publishing as part of their Virgin New Adventures series.[2] Several characters in the television story share names with those in the novel, including Joan, Tim, Hutchinson, Rocastle and Lucy.
