The Faded Spades are an independent roots rock band from California. The band currently resides in Los Angles California. The Faded Spades where formed by lead singer/guitarist Nick "Moxy" Mead and guitarist Lightning Lee Hamilton. Nick and Lee attended La Quinta High School the same school as other notable musical act Tyler Hilton. The band garnered much local recognition in the growing Palm Springs music scene packing local clubs such as the Ale House. They became a regular act at Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa premier music venue the Key Club opening for Metal Skool.
The band is known for there live show which features electrifying guitar antics by their lead ax man Lighting Lee whose two hand guitar style is revolutionizing the instrument. The Faded Spades recorded a self titled EP in 2005 under a undisclosed independent label. The album was shelved and never released due to conflicts and artistic differences. Your From Where? magazine referred to the Faded Spades as Rock & Rolls revival.
The Faded Spades are currently on hiatus as they rework their line up and continue their search for a new bass player. The band has recently added The Losing Teams former Drummer Brian Pelletier. During the hiatus the band has been working on new material for their up coming album. The bands recent work looks to take them to new musical frontiers. The Faded Spades are currently searching for new label representation.
