The Exodar, capital city of the Draenei

The Exodar is the Draenei capital in the fantasy Warcraft Universe. It was introduced in E3 2006 as part of the World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade expansion. The Exodar is located off the coast of the Veiled Sea, westernmost of Kalimdor continent. [] It provides the second major city in Kalimdor for Alliance players (the first being Darnassus). The Exodar contains four main areas: The Crystal Hall, The Vault of Lights, the Trader's Tier, and the Seat of the Naaru.

[edit] History

The city is located in the Azuremyst Isles, and is built out of the largest husk of the interdimensional ship that crash-landed in Azeroth. Not much of Exodar is currently known. The Exodar is named after the very same interdimensional ship that transported the Draenei from Draenor. [1]

The Exodar was previously a Naaru satellite orbiting Tempest Keep. Sabotaged by Blood Elves on Draenor when Prince Kael'Thas stormed Tempest Keep, the ship was retaken by Velen and the Draenei with the intent of using it as an escape vessel. However during the continual fighting over the control of the ship it became damaged. The damage was so great that, despite the Draenei escape from Draenor, the ship ended crashing on the Azuremyst Isles in Azeroth. The Exodar is now the name given to the largest hub of the ship's remains, and forms the capital for the surviving Draenei. Other pieces can be found over the Azuremyst and Bloodmyst isles.

[edit] Before the Crusade

Previous to the release of the Burning Crusade expansion to World of Warcraft, the Exodar did not actually exist. It can be found on the world map, but spells such as Far Sight reveal the straight-line edge of the sea (i.e. the end of the world) before finding any such city or islands. It has been put on the map but not in the world.

Reputation is obtainable pre-expansion by a series of quests throughout Azeroth, and through Alterac Valley turn in quests. Also, there are a few Draenei that give quests in the Swamp of Sorrows.
