Their may be a logo on the shirts as long as it is not any bigger than 1 inch X 1 inch for both boys and girls

On Fridays, students may wear blue-jeans with any school spirit shirt along with sandals/flip-flops.

The Emery/Weiner School is a Jewish private school at 9825 Stella Link Road in Houston, Texas, United States.

The complex includes the middle school, I. Weiner Middle School, and the high school, Emery High School. Both schools are very well respected schools around the country. The middle school moved to the new campus and began the making of Emery High School.

The $14 million campus is located on 12-acres in southwest Houston outside of the 610 Loop, inside Beltway 8, and west of the Westwood subdivision.

The school houses 90,000 square feet of classroom space, along with several acres of accessible playing fields.

Established in 1978, the I. Weiner Jewish Secondary School began with a student population of fewer than 20 students. Today, the middle school serves over 200. In 2001 of Emery High School was established, which celebrated its first graduation in June 2005.

Mr. Dow has taught and lectured on a variety of Jewish topics for students of all ages. He has taught teenagers Jewish history at Congregation Beth Yeshurun’s Hillel High School; he has taught young professionals Bible and Rabbinic Thought in his own program entitled J-MASS (Jewish Monthly Adult Study Sessions); and he has taught older adults Zionism and Jewish Philosophy at events such as Yom Limmud. Beyond his formal education, Mr. Dow has studied at Hebrew University and the Pardes Institute for Jewish Studies, both in Jerusalem. In addition, he has lived in Israel and worked as a journalist for The Jerusalem Post. While at Yale, Mr. Dow received The Cogswell Prize, and later, while at the University of Texas School of Law, he won The Thad Hucheson Moot Court Competition and was named the Best Advocate at the Locke Purnell Honors Mock Trial Competition.

Jonathan L. Silver, PH.D., Assistant Head of School
Education: B.A. Political Science from University of Rochester; M.S. Educational Thought and Policy from University of Rochester; M.S. History and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University; Ph.D. History from Carnegie Mellon University
For much of his professional life, Dr. Silver has balanced his interest in teaching and school administration with his academic interests in American history, specifically the histories of education, childhood, and youth. He has taught middle school, junior high, and high school students; undergraduates in history; and master’s level graduate students in education. Before beginning his tenure with The Emery/Weiner School, he served as Assistant to the President for Institutional Planning and Academic Resources at Pittsburgh’s leading independent school, Shady Side Academy. Dr. Silver is also the co-founder and was the chief administrator for the Pennsylvania Regional Art and Music Day Camp (PRAMUS) in suburban Philadelphia, PA.
