The Drugs Raid

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"The Drugs Raid" is an episode of the long-running British police drama The Bill, broadcast on the ITV Network. This is the sixth episode of the first series.

[edit] Synopsis

An informant leads DI Galloway into approving a joint CID/Uniform raid on a disused cinema suspected of being the meeting place for barons trafficking hard drugs. But he finds it harder to pin down the men responsible due to them having 'diplomatic immunity', and learns that the informant himself might have something to hide.

[edit] Main Credits

  • Written by Barry Appleton
  • Directed by John Woods

[edit] Notes

  • Actor Graham Cole makes his debut here as an uncredited background extra. In the third season he would be cast as PC Tony Stamp, and in the fourth he would be made a regular character. His most noticeable scene here is during the briefing for the drugs raid itself, where the camera lingers past him. There's nothing to suggest that the PC he plays here isn't Tony Stamp, and it has become generally accepted that he is.
