The Dragon Academy is a small private, co-ed high school in the historic Annex district of downtown Toronto. The purpose of the school, as has been stated by the principal, Dr. Meg Fox, is to not only enrich the Ontario high school curriculum but to provide high school students with an integrated curriculum heavily reliant on the socratic method. The Dragon Academy has been in operation since September 2001, and since then has had ten graduates who have all been accepted to their universities of choice (University of Toronto, McMaster, Ryerson, York, Concordia, UBC, and Queen's), many of them with scholarships. The Dragon Academy has been described as a challenging school, with high academic standards. But The Dragon Academy also has a welcoming atmosphere; many students have found themselves encouraged to achieve their best by a dedicated and caring faculty and by the sense of community that binds all members of The Dragon Academy. The Dragon Academy curriculum is aimed at building character as well as knowledge. The school fosters ideals of scholarship, personal growth and community responsibility. Quote from one student "This school was the best 15 years of my life"
