The Devil Makes Three is a 1952 thriller film taking place in post-World War II West Germany starring Pier Angeli, Gene Kelly and Richard Egan.

Captain Jeff Eliot returns to post-war West Germany in 1948 to visit the family who rescued him and aided his evasion from capture by Nazi Germany after his plane was shot down during the war over Munich.
He finds that the family has hit by a U.S. Air Force air raid, and the only survivor is the daughter, Wilhelmina Lehrt. She is working as a bar maid in a nightclub and hates Americans. Eliot nonetheless manages to romance Wilhelmina, and in his time at the nightclub, he develops a friendship with Heisemann, a comic.
Heisemann, it turns out, has secret ties to an undergroup Nazi revivalist movement. When Eliot discovers this, he tells his superiors, who order him to continue his relationship with Wilhemina and try to learn more about Heisemann's operation.
