The Deuce is also the nickname for Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The Deuce is the name of the gold, double-decker bus line serving Las Vegas, Nevada operated by Citizens Area Transit.

There are 5 routes where these double-deckers serve:

  1. The primary route serves the Las Vegas Strip 24 hours a day, with as many as 33 buses at a time running between transit terminals at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip at the South Strip Transfer Terminal to the Downtown Transportation Center.
  2. The second route serves the Las Vegas Factory Outlet Mall with 1 bus running every 25 minutes from the South Strip Terminal to the mall.
  3. The third route (Route #115) serves the east side of the Las Vegas Valley on Nellis Blvd. There are as many as 5 buses running every 30 minutes.
  4. The fourth route serves the Las Vegas Convention Center. This route runs from 4:00pm to 6:30pm everyday. It starts at the convention center, goes to the Circus Circus Hotel, and continues southbound on the Strip. There are between 3 to 10 buses on this route at one time, as they get pulled from the strip to quickly serve the convention center.
  5. The fifth route (Route #202) is a partial double-decker service running on Flamingo Road. It is serviced by double-deckers only when there are no more available vehicles and when there are extra Deuces available.

The buses seat 27 people on the lower deck, 53 on the upper deck, and are 40 feet long. The fare is currently $2 for a one way trip, $5 for a 24-hour pass.

Citizens Area Transit is one of two transit agencies that operate double-decker buses in the United States, the other being Unitrans of Davis, California.

In 2006, the RTC announced that they have purchased 40 more double-deckers that are scheduled to arrive in Spring 2007, and another 40 that are to arrive in 2008. These new vehicles are planned to replace the original 50 that have been serving the strip. The original vehicles are going to be reassigned to local routes (height permitting). These new Deuces are special in that they have 2 staircases, one in the current position, and a second one in the back. They will also have 2 wheelchair ramps to better serve the big scooters on the Strip.
