The Denvers

The Denvers were a British band formed in 1960 in the Billingham area. They played in France and Germany from 1961 to 1963. Recorded for French Polydor, releasing the album Liverpool Party (so named to cash in on the new Liverpool boom), which sold in France, Spain, and Japan. It was recently re-released by German label Rockbeat Records. The principals were Roy Smith, Pauline Riley (both now living in Canada), Brian Ashcroft, Jenny Hutchins, and Adrian Tilbrook (with Jazzaction in the UK ).
