The Deer

The Deer or Hatzevi (הצבי) was a Hebrew language newspaper published in Jerusalem by Eliezer Ben-Yehuda from 1884 to 1914. The first issue was published on October 24, 1884 (5 Cheshvan, 5645). It was banned by the Ottoman government during World War I due to its proposals for a Jewish state.
