The Deeds of the Normans in Ireland

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Deeds of the Normans in Ireland (La Geste des Engleis en Yrlande) is an Anglo-Norman chronicle telling how Strongbow arrived in Ireland in 1170 and the subsequent arrival of Henry II of England.

The chronicle survives only in fragments which were rediscovered in the 17th century. It has been known variously as the Conquest of Ireland and The Song of Dermot and the Earl.
