The Day Seattle Died is a song by American post-grunge band Cold. The song is the tenth track on their 2003 LP Year of the Spider. The song is about Kurt Cobain's days leading up to his suicide, as well as Layne Staley's. A possible reason for writing this song is Cold is considered alternative rock, a genre Cobain and his band, Nirvana is credited for popularizing.
