The Daily Gleaner

The Daily Gleaner, often just "The Gleaner", is a morning daily newspaper serving the city of Fredericton, New Brunswick and upper St. John River Valley. The paper is published Monday through Saturday and began operating in 1880. In April 2006, the paper switched from afternoon to morning publication. The offices of the Daily Gleaner are located on Prospect Street on the city's south side.
The Gleaner, as it's called locally, is owned by the Irving conglomerate based in Saint John through its Brunswick News subsidiary.
The Daily Gleaner was also the newspaper John Christian Blum tried to make and earn some money to pay back a big debt. This paper was not sucessful.
