The Craig School

The Craig School is a private coeducational day school located in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, United States, serving students in third through twelfth grade. The school has an enrollment of 160 students split between a Lower School (grades 3-8) and Upper School (9-12). The Upper School is located in Lincoln Park.
The Craig School was founded in 1980 as an independent, nonprofit school serving children who have difficulty succeeding in the traditional classroom environment. The school specializes in a language-based curriculum for children of average or above average ability with dyslexia, Auditory processing disorder and Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. The Craig Upper School was added in 2000.
The Craig Upper School is smaller in size than the Lower School. There are more male students than female students. Each trimester, there are Spirit Days. On Spirit Days, the school will do activities such as tug-of-war, a basketball game in the winter and a school-wide softball game during the springtime.
The Craig School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and New Jersey Association of Independent Schools.
