From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cotton Museum, located in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, is a museum that opened in March 2006 on the old trading floor of the Memphis Cotton Exchange at 65 Union Avenue in downtown Memphis.

The mission of the Cotton Museum at the Memphis Cotton Exchange is to share the story of the cotton industry and its many influences on the daily life, arts, and the development of this region. The museum highlights artifacts through interpretive exhibits, educational programs, and research archives that help tell the story of cotton and cotton trading, from crop to becoming fabric.

The Cotton Museum preserves the history of the cotton business and makes the research readily available to the public. It also illustrates the history and importance of the Memphis Cotton Exchange by providing an experience that makes you feel like you were there during that time period.

The museum is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm and on Sunday from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm. The museum is closed on Mondays.
