List of Dilbert animated series episodes |
The Competition is the third episode of the Dilbert animated series. It was originally aired on February 1, 1999, before the second production episode, The Prototype.
When rumours of competition in the field reach Dilbert, he is forced to push up the deadline of the Gruntmaster 6000. The Pointy-Haired Boss decides they need to increase security so their progress is not leaked and puts Dogbert in charge of the new extensive security. Dilbert is suspected of being a traitor and is fired from his job; he subsequently takes a job with a rival company.
[edit] Trivia
At the end of the episode Wally falls asleep on his keyboard and Z's start appearing on the computer screen. Since Wally fell on the right side of keyboard it suggests that he types with a Dvorak Keyboard, which has the Z key on the right, rather than the more common QWERTY keyboard with the Z key on the left.
Wally mentions he has Jack Kevorkian's phone number when Dilbert gets fired and is cleaning out his cubicle.
