'The Cockroach is a supporting character in Dave Sim's 300-issue comic book series Cerebus the Aardvark. He went through a series of different identities, each parodying a superhero comic book: "Captain Cockroach" (Captain America), "Moon Roach" (Moon Knight), and so on. The Roach may have been an influence on Ben Edlund's The Tick.
