The Climb (book)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Climb is an account by Russian mountaineer Anatoli Boukreev of the May 1996 Mount Everest expeditions, during which five climbers lost their lives. The coauthor, G. Weston DeWalt, provides more accounts from other climbers and ties together the narrative of Boukreev's logbook. The book is also at least partly a response to the account of the same campaign, Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer, which questioned Boukreev's motives and actions during the climb.
