Lewis' children's fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia. It will be the third film in The Chronicles of Narnia film series from Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media, following The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. It is currently scheduled for release at an unspecified date in 2010.[1]

[edit] Production schedule
Andrew Adamson, director of the preceding film in the series, has stated that it is unlikely that he will be directing this film as well, because he wants to release three of the films in the series very close to each other, and thus he will probably be still finishing the preceding film when work is started on this one.[2] In an interview,[3] Bob Beltz of Walden Media elaborated upon this, stating that the production companies' intention is to film both Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader "in a way that it won't have to be two and a half years between them. We'll be able to bring them out sequentially a year apart". His plan is that when the six months of live photography on Prince Caspian finishes, and that film goes into post-production to add the computer-generated imagery (which he expects to last for a year), the live photography for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will commence; and, in turn, when The Voyage of the Dawn Treader itself goes into post-production, live photography on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair will commence.
Bob Beltz Stated that they will release one Narnia film a year, so a year after The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian,The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will be released 2009 followed by The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair in 2010.[citation needed]
[edit] Filming Locations
As of February 2007, the owners of an AUD2.1 million 40 metre by 30 metre by 5 metre water tank at Warner Roadshow Studios in Queensland are negotiating with the production company, in the hope that The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will be filmed there.[4][5]
[edit] Cast
Ben Barnes signed a three-film deal to portray Prince Caspian,[6] which implies that he will return to play the character. Georgie Henley and Skandar Keynes are also expected[citation needed] to reprise their roles as Lucy and Edmund, respectively.
