The Chronicles of Demerick are a series of novels written by Michael Fox and Micheal McHardy. They encompass the lifetimes of the Shadowlord, Bloodsabre and Leonian families against the Shadow Empire. These novels started as a small way to pass the time, but eventually ended up becoming their own entities with fleshed out characters and epic plots.Taya Box Inc

[edit] Main Characters
There are so many characters in the world of Demerick, that there really isn't a true main character, but here is a small list of very important characters.
Sarai "dachi" Leonian - Sarai is a most unfortunate character and is one of the main characters of the first three books. She is a 1/2 Demon and the ruler of Eclaireena, a main provence of Demerick. She is responsible both directly and indirectly to the change in the time streams. Her bloodline is one of the strongest in all of Demerick. As such, Sarai or her family always seem to be at the center of the turmoil in Demerick.
Ronin Bloodsabre - Ronin was the original hero and was the inspiration for the stories. He was the "official" main character of the first two books, and was a main character of the third until his untimely death. He was known to be very rash and cocky, but could usually back up his claims. Overall he was a master tactician, a notable swordsman, and a true hero. He was married three times and was forced to bury two of his wives, and the third was the one to bury him. He also fathered at least seven children, but only two remain alive. After his death, he left behind three great treasures. The first was his father's sword Kotetsu, the second his suit of armor, and the third his never-ending flask of Shadow Ale.
Artaya Lace - Artaya was a gay Elf priestess and the daughter of the tribe elder Psychron. As to bring peace between the warring Swamp Elves, she was to marry Doth the Prince of their tribe, but on the night of her wedding she discovered the assassination plot Doth had set into motion against her father. She swore that she would never marry that snake, so as retaliation, he turned her into just that. From that day forth Artaya would never be just an elf again, she had become a Naga-like creature, the first Tayan.
Zephyr Shadowlord - Zephyr is the avatar of the God of Light, Zephyrn. At numerous points in the series, his family has paid for this as a result of Kroln-Zar's revenges. His wife, Melenie, was even brutally murdered at the hands of Kroln. Zephyr was introduced in the story as a villian, later to be shown as under the control of Kroln. He is also the anscestor of Erein, the Golden King, a former title of Zephyr himself.
Kroln-Zar - As it seems that only the Evil or Dark Gods actually play a physical role in the history of the Shadow Wars, Kroln was actually the second to reveal his face, the first being Warden, the God of Nightmares. Kroln-Zar is the true ruler of the Shadows, or the Shadow Master, and numerous attempts have been made to usurp the title from him, by Delek, the God of False Hope, and even Warden, his original right-hand man. The Shadow Master has numerous powers and relics, the most notable are the Three Towers and the Box of Chaos. The towers have been used on several occasions, and every instance has resulted in the complete destruction of entire countries, most recently the countries of Eclaireena and Greathelm. The box of Chaos has the ability to cause the Darkness in every person's heart to utterly consume them while the box plays.

Xavier Shrader -
Kiersa Deathbringer -

King, Ace, and Cuddles Vermin - This trio has managed to appear in more books than most other of the characters. King and Ace are the, self-proclaimed, greatest theives to have ever existed. King is a true free spirit with a dame in every port, while Ace just happily escapes into adventure while avoiding his wife. Cuddles Vermin is an imp that has the unusual talent to change into a repulsively cute bunny. He usually ends up causing the other two to get caught, due to his uncanny knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
