The Canadian Army Journal serves as the primary forum for professional debate and discourse in the Canadian Army.

The journal was officially launched in 1947 and ran until its official retirement in 1965 when Canadian Forces unification instigated the cancellation of the three separate service journals and replaced them with a single magazine titled Sentinel.
